Earmolds and Ear Plugs

WHERE CAN I GET HEARING PROTECTION?

Custom made ear plugs are available at ANY OF OUR CLINICS.

EMSEE NOISE DEFENDERS

EMSEE NOISE DEFENDERS are solid plugs, which reduce sound a maximum 28dB of constant attenuation and are the choice for persons who find themselves in very loud environments for extended periods of time, and need considerable protection.

ACOUSTIC FILTERED PLUGS

ACOUSTIC FILTERED PLUGS offer minimal low frequency attenuation, but significant attenuation in the higher frequency sounds. There is a gradual linear increase in the amount of overall attenuation as the value of the filter is increased from 680 to 4700 ohms.

VENTED/TUNED PLUGS

VENTED/TUNED PLUGS Vent plugs of varying sizes reduce the amount of low frequency gain, which tends to improve voice quality. This essentially acts as a low tone cut control. Certain professions such as dentists, hygenists, and music teachers can benefit from this type of earplug. This type of plug is ideally suited where the sound source is constant i.e. dentist’s drill or similar.

SLEEP-EEZ®

SLEEP-EEZ® Sculpted plugs, or canal tip style, designed specifically for sleeping comfort, usually without handles. Many colours and materials are available.

ER 9/15/25 MUSICIANS EAR PLUGS®

ER 9/15/25 MUSICIANS EAR PLUGS® are designed to provide a flat 9, 15, or 25dB attenuation. With this flat response, the wearer hears sounds naturally, clearly and ACCURATELY. This product is an excellent choice for professional musicians, or anyone who appreciates clarity and understanding while reducing environmental noise.

COMMUNICATOR MOLDS

CUSTOM EARMOLDS

Earmolds come in a wide variety of sizes and types. Some earmolds are solid, and some are soft or spongy. The most popular styles are full shell and half shell. The type of earmold your hearing professional recommends will depend on your individual needs.

Some earmolds come with a filtered attenuator, allowing for verbal communication while still protecting hearing, which is popular with musicians. These types of earmolds come in both electronic and non-electronic models. Earmolds are also popular for fitting over certain earbud headphones, under pilot boom-mic headsets, and other specialty uses.

As the name implies, custom earmolds are made custom to fit the unique contour of your ear. If you cannot get a comfortable or secure fit with traditional earplugs, custom earmolds may be for you. They offer some of the best hearing protection available.

CUSTOM EARPLUGS

Earplugs are hearing protection that are usually for the canal only. Some earplugs are solid, while others allow for more sound to pass through. Specialized earplugs are available for musicians and medical professionals who still want the ability to hear most of their surroundings while protecting their hearing.

Specialty earplugs can be custom fit for your ear canal, and are usually more comfortable than traditional earplugs. Custom earplugs come both with or without handles or detachable cords.

Earmolds and earplugs are not just for those who wish to protect themselves from high noise levels. Custom solutions are also available for other types of ear protection, such as custom ear plugs for swimmers.
