Advanced Hearing Community Involvement
Over the years, our clinics have played an important role in increasing the awareness of hearing needs in our community through providing both our brochures and our complimentary presentations on better hearing.
In addition to providing Better Hearing presentations within the community, members of our team frequently attend and contribute to the regular meetings for both D.A.C.C.S. (Durham Advisory Committee for Community Services) and D.E.A.N. (Durham Elder Abuse Network). Click here to read a letter we received from the Durham Elder Abuse Network.
Additionally, Advanced Hearing Ontario clinics have supported the following:
- Abilities Centre Gala – Silent Auction contributor
- Lakeridge Health Foundation Gala – Table Sponsor
- Be A Santa to A Senior – through the annual local Christmas book fundraiser
Did you know that May is Better Hearing and Speech Awareness Month in Canada?
To celebrate Hearing Awareness Month, our very first big event on Hearing is Believing was held in 2011. This free lunch trial initiative had over 100 people in attendance. According to our sources, we were the very first clinics in the world to host such an event. In fact, our approach to Hearing Is Believing was “ … unveiled in 22 countries from Japan to Italy, from Sao Paulo to Minneapolis!!!”
Our second Hearing is Believing event was held in Ajax on May 8th 2014, and was another huge success. Again we hosted over 100 pre-qualified participants who described the event as “IMPRESSIVE!” With every PREMIUM Starkey hearing aid, attendees experienced Wireless technology like never before with the ability to connect wirelessly to the televisions, and directly to one’s iPhone or iPad.
Please feel free to contact us if you could recommend a BETTER HEARING presentation to any group.
